Restoration Worker

“If you are creative and passionate about conserving culture, a job in restoration could be for you.”

Restoration Worker

The basic objective of a restoration worker is to keep artefacts and other cultural articles in a state which is as close to its original condition as possible, for as long as possible. The general responsiblities of art conservators focus on examination, research, record keeping and restorative and preventative care.

In this job you are required to work in an office and on-site, so flexibility is essential.

Most restoration workers have some type of formal conservation qualification or degree in a suitable subject like sustainable construction.
