As a door supervisor you would check the suitability of people who wanted to enter venues such as pubs, bars, nightclubs and other licensed premises. You would also look after the safety of the people inside the venue.
Day-to-day duties include managing crowds, patrolling venues, dealing with emergencies and coordinating with police, first aiders and management.
You’ll be using your excellent people skills to help everyone remain calm in difficult situations. You will also need to have self-confidence and be assertive whilst remaining professional.
To become a door supervisor, you must be aged 18 or over and hold a Door Supervision licence, issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
