“If you are interested in the preservation of the environment and historical buildings, this could be the career for you.”

Conservation Officer

Conservations officers look to advise and promote ways of conserving and preserving historic buildings and environments.

Working with land and property owners, conservation officers can work with some very unique buildings including churches, lighthouses and windmills.

New building projects also seek advice to help make sure the buildings fit in with the local surrounding and have the right character.
