“If you can motivate, lead and have innovative ideas, this could be the career for you.”

A chief executive officer - sometimes known as a managing director - is in charge of a company of or organisation. They look to innovate and come up with new ideas and make sure the company is operating to any guidelines or legislation.

No matter how large or small a business is, there is someone who is at the top taking responsibility for decision making, leading and managing. In larger organisations there may be a board of directors with their own area work operating under the chief executive. These can include; managing directors, creative directors and marketing directors.

Great communication and motivational skills and a passion for the business go towards making a leader. Employees will look to the chief executive for inspiration as they guide the business forward.
