CCTV Operative

“If you have an eye for detail and enjoy technology this may be the perfect job for you.”

CCTV Operative

Based in a central or mobile control room, CCTV operatives monitor surveillance cameras and make use of the latest technologies to protect people and property.

Day-to-day duties will include monitoring areas for suspicious behaviour, checking for vandalism, crime or theft; logging incidents and keeping a close on events or scheduled activities such as cash-drops and deliveries.

A CCTV operative may work closely with police and other security services to liaise with patrol teams and people on the ground.

To become CCTV operative you need to be an observant person who can react quickly and calmly, they also must be someone who can work unsupervised and discreet.
